The highest academic body of the College, the IQAC has been formed post the 1st Cycle of Accreditation and it plays a key role, assuring quality upgradation of the College in all spheres of academic and extra-curricular activities. The University results bear witness to the consistently good academic performance of students in all the disciplines. The Central Library of the College has been modernized with NLIST from INFLIBNET enabling students and teachers to access books and journals readily via this advanced system. Computer facility has been extended to students, teachers and the College Office. Separate computer laboratories are maintained in Departments of Mathematics, Geology and Commerce. Accounts Application (HRMS) is readily accessed by the College Office (as per instruction from the Govt. of West Bengal) and this has ensured smooth functioning of the Accounts Management System.
To cater to diverse needs of the students, the College has the following provisions: one central students’ canteen, separate Common Room for boys and girls, a Career Counselling and Placement Cell, Grievance Redressal Cell, Anti-Ragging Committee, NCC and NSS Units and an Internal Complaints Committee (to look into matters related to gender sensitization and sexual harassment).
