Grievance Cell is formed to promote and maintain a conducive and unprejudiced educational environment. The objectives of Grievance Cell include the following:
To support all stakeholders who have been deprived of the services / benefits offered by the College for which they are entitled.
To make the staff / authority of the College responsive, accountable and courteous in dealing with the deprived.
To ensure effective solution of the grievances with an impartial, logical, and fair approach.
The Cell enables stakeholders to express feelings by initiating and pursuing the grievance procedure in accordance with the rules and regulations of the College. Grievance Cell enquires and analyses the nature and pattern of the grievances in a strictly confidential manner. Emphasis on procedural fairness has been given with a view to “the right to be heard and right to be treated without bias”.
Redressal Procedure:
Redressal Procedure of Grievance is designed to solve academic and administrative problems.
For this purpose the Cell is:
To co-ordinate between stakeholders and Departments / Sections to redress the grievances.
To decide the ways and means to redress the problems.
The grievance procedure is designed to sort out the issues between the stakeholders and college. It is a mechanism by which a stakeholder who believes that he / she has been treated unfairly with respect to his / her academic / administrative matters or is convinced to have been discriminated is redressed. It is a mechanism to settle a problem. It enables to express feelings by initiating and pursuing the grievance procedure in accordance with the rules and regulations of the college. It involves a process of investigation in which Grievance Cell enquires and analyses the nature and pattern of the grievances in a strictly confidential manner. Matters are disclosed to only those, who have a legitimate role in resolving the matter. Emphasis on procedural fairness has been given priority with a view to “the right to be heard and right to be treated without bias”.
The stakeholders ought to lodge their grievances in a plain paper. The paper, duly filled in, is required to be submitted in the drop box placed outside the college office. The Principal intimates by forwarding the matter to the committee for necessary action. Final report based on grievance received and resolved on the basis of hearing of the parties involved will be submitted to the Principal and further course of action will be decided and the same shall be intimated to the stakeholder(s).
Exclusions:
Grievance Cell shall not entertain following issues.
Decisions of the Academic Council / Board of studies and other academic / administrative committees constituted by the college.
Decisions with regard to award of scholarships / fee concessions / awards / medals.
Decisions taken by college under the Disciplinary Rules and Misconduct.
Decisions of the college in admissions of different courses.
Decisions of the competent authority on assessment, examination, and academic result.
